Materials: Stoneware clay and glaze

One-of-a-kind ceramic piece made by hand in Los Angeles by Shelby Gordon. This work combines wheel-thrown and handbuilt elements to create a sculptural, tactile form meant to be experienced in person. The surface shows layered glazes and texture that shift with the light. Due to the fact that these pieces are made with human hands, there may be slight variations and imperfections in the surface and form; these nuances are part of the character of the work. This piece is available to view in person at Culture Brewing Co. – Manhattan Beach as part of “Somewhere Between” by Shelby Gordon during the month of February 2026.
